<subfield code="a">The concept of computed tomography (CT) may be simplified by comparing a procedure with imaging a loaf of bread, and images it in individual slices. CT scan procedure can be normal for other people, but for this research study, participants' experiences are a different story. During CT scan examination, some patients feel fear, anxiety, and claustrophobic. The researcher used method triangulation to analyze the data, from an in depth interview, illustration of participants' fear, and focus group discussion (FGD). In general, the researchers have three participants who have acquired their fear of closed spaces due to traumatic experiences in their past. All of the participants cannot control their emotions when they are faced with a situation where they feel trapped. To validate the results of this study we used method triangulation. During the FGD, we interviewed radiologic technologists who have experienced claustrophobic patients in CT scans. Participants applied management through termination of the examination and proper instruction of the examination. The participants described the physical manifestation that occurred to their patients. All of the patients have common themes which are the patient experienced uneasiness inside, nervousness, difficulty of breathing, palpitation, and moments of panic attack. As a precautionary measure after those incidents, the participant asked if there is an underlying disorder from their patient and give a survey form if they have a phobia. At the same time, they used additional restrainers. The purpose of this study is to understand the lived experiences of a claustrophobic patient undergoing CT scan examination, it also serves as a platform for future researchers as an added information about the said topic. This research also gave new insight on how to manage the fear and anxiety of claustrophobic patients and to have a better understanding and applying what is the best intervention for persons with claustrophobia. </subfield>
