  <abstract>The radiology department can play a pivotal role in infection control within the hospital, it has the potential to be a major source of infection transmission. The use of standard precautions aims to minimize, and if possible, eliminate the risk of transmission of infection, especially those caused by nosocomial infection. We need to substantiate that the standard precaution and occupational protocol being observed for each clinical whether in a private or public hospital. The primary purpose of this study was to look at the impact of standard precaution and occupational protocol on clinical practice in selected radiologic laboratories. It also aimed at determining the relation of the respondents' profile variables on the standard precaution and occupational protocol on clinical. A total of 138 radiologic technologists from different hospitals were the respondents of the study using random sampling technique. To determine the relation of profile variables on the possible effects of standard precaution and occupational protocol on clinical practice, the Pearson product-moment correlation was used. Quantitative descriptive research was employed in this study utilizing correlational and predictive techniques on its possible effects. The type and nature of the hospital are significantly related to the impact while the position is significantly related to the PPE and occupational protocol. All the rest of the variables are not significant, which then shows that the majority of them are not significant meaning, thus, the null hypothesis is accepted.</abstract>
