  <abstract>The purpose of this research was to know what could be the possible flexible development options would help small canteen businesses in order to survive pandemic in the new normal. Small Canteen operators residing at Clinicville, Ipilville, Target 1 and 2 inside BF Homes was greatly affected with the crises violent which even led to bankruptcy and store closure.The Researcher as one of the owners of small business in clinicville BF had to take actions to secure their business operations. This research aimed to know what development options suites best their business to survive. The method used in this study was descriptive mixed methods.  Respondents of this research were Canteen Operators and Canteen  Patronizers/Customers. The questionnaire used Likert scale type of  questions for the survey and also interview guide questions to further  analyze the study. The researcher interpreted the study by the following  treatments: weighted mean, average weighted mean, and frequency.  Based on the result obtained, the respondents were facing hard  time coping up regarding occurrence of pandemic in terms of business,  current status, challenges they encountered and experiences. However,  It also shows that Canteen customers were still satisfied of the product  and services canteens offered, this might be because canteen operators  continuously practicing its best to served customers with utmost  commitment.  The results obtained clearly showed that canteen operators were  experiencing difficult changes on its business operations. Further study  on the effect of flexible development options for food essentials in the  new normal was the researcher's recommendation for the future  researchers.  It was also discovered that the respondents have minimal  knowledge of what strategy could they use to further survive the crises  violence. With this, the researcher will conduct monthly webinars that contains different business survival strategy and basic information to  help the owners to stand still in the new normal.</abstract>
