<subfield code="a">Statement of the Problem The researcher had attempted to seek what was the present Board Performance of Bachelor in Elementary and Secondary Education of Olivarez College. The following questions will find out the answer to the problem: 1. What was the board rating of Bachelor in Elementary and Secondary Education for the last five years? 2. Was there a significant relationship between the performance of the teachers and the board rating of the Bachelor of Elementary and Secondary Education Students? 3. What factors affecting the board performance results? Research Design The study is a correlation type of research, Aquino (1992). According to him correlation type of research is to investigate the extent to which variations in one factor correlate with variations in one or more other factor based on correlation coefficient. Data Analysis Sevilla et. al. (1998), stated that if your study involves gathering information by examining records and documents, the method that you may use is the documentary analysis technique. This method is often referred to as content analysis. Statistical Treatment M. Pearson (r) coefficient of correlation- A statistical instrument used to determine the degree of relationship between the board performance and teachers performance of Olivarez College. Findings The study revealed the following based on the gathered data: 1. Board rating of Bachelor in Elementary and Secondary Education for the last five years: 1.1. Board Performance of Bachelor in Elementary and Secondary Education of Olivarez College 2000-2004. There were 9 examinees in the Elementary level of August Licensure Exam who took the board but 5 passers got the 55.56% with a National Passing Rate of 35.54%. In August 2001 there were 7 examinees and only 2 passers or 28.57% with a National Passing Rate of 33.76%. Again, August of 2002 there were 9 examinees and 3 passers were able to make it representing the 33.33% with a National Passing Rate of 35.32%. The year 2003 of August there were 9 examinees and only 3 passers or 33.33% with a National Passing Rate of 26.25%. In August 2004, there were 9 examinees with 1 passer representing the 11.11% with a National Passing Rate of 27.15%. Once more, August of 2000, the Secondary level with 9 examinees who took the exam only 4 passers were lucky to get the 44.44% with a National Passing Rate of 35.90%. Moreover, August 2001 there were about 8 examinees who applied to take the board exam but only 4 passers were fortunate which represented the 50.00% with a National Passing Rate of 34.93%. On the other hand, the 8 examinees who took the exams only 3 passers of 37.50% happened to make it with a National Passing Rate of 36.52%. it was noted that August 2003, of 11 examinees, 2 passers were lucky to pass representing the 18.18% with a National Passing Rate of 26.29%. However, in August 2004, there were 12 examinees with 5 passers of 41.67% with a National Passing Rate of 21.15%. Problem 2. Significant relationship between the performance of the teachers and the board rating of the Bachelor of Elementary and Secondary Education Students 2.1 Bachelor of Elementary Education: Subject #1- Professional Education R= 0.27 (negligible positive correlation) The result stated that there was a negligible positive correlation between the Teachers Performance Evaluation and Board Performance of Elementary and Secondary Education of Olivarez College. Subject #2- General Education R= 0.35 (low positive correlation) The result had established that there was a low positive correlation between that of the Teachers Performance Evaluation and the Board Performance of Elementary and Secondary Education of Olivarez College. with minimal correlation between the two variables. 2.2 Bachelor of Secondary Education: Subject #1- Professional Education R= -.026 (negligible negative correlation) According to the result there was a negligible negative correlation between the Teachers Performance Evaluation and Board Performance of Elementary and Secondary Education of Olivarez College. There was no relationship involved that could affect the two variables to each other. Subject #2- General Education R= -0.03 (negligible negative correlation) The result established that there was a negligible negative correlation between the Teachers Performance Evaluation and Board Performance of Elementary and Secondary Education of Olivarez College. There was no relationship between the two variables. Subject #3- Field of Specialization R= 0.45 (low positive correlation) The result stated that there was a low positive correlation between the Teachers Performance Evaluation and Board Performance of Elementary and Secondary Education of Olivarez College. The relationships between the two variables were minimal. 3. Components affecting the board performance result. Professional Education In the area of LET (Licensure Examination for Teachers). The professional education had provided the 40% of the examination for secondary education and 60% for elementary education. With General Education as one of the general areas in LET (Licensure Examination for Teachers). This area had provided the 20% of examination for secondary education with 40% for elementary education. Hence, the Field of specialization, an area in LET (licensure Examination for Teachers) should covered the 40% of the examination for secondary education. Conclusion The following conclusions were hereby presented. 1. The performance of the Olivarez College of education Board Examination should revealed that majority of the scores were above average of the national passing rate. 2. It was found out that on the part of two levels, the Secondary education got the highest over-all percentage in terms of the passing rate, the highest passing rate was 55.56% in August 2000 in elementary education level while the lowest passing rate was 11.11% that of august 2004 under the elementary education level. 3. Majority of the computed result between the relation of Board Performance and Teacher Performance had a minimal relationship in term of different areas in Licensure examination for Teachers. The basic areas of Licensure examination for Teachers had affected the score per percentage of examinees in every yearly schedule Board Examination period. Recommendation 1. The next researcher should attempt to study this kind of research and seek for another factor that may affect the Board Performance of Olivarez College. 2. The Administrator should focused on another aspect of area which could develop the educational management for Bachelor of Elementary and Secondary Education of Olivarez College. 3. The Curriculum Planners of the school should add more enriched subjects to the curriculum of Education Department. 4. This study would served as the spring board of another researcher for his/her study about Board Performance. 5. There should be an innovation to be undertaken by the department to enhance and strengthen the area that needs to be focused in order to meet the goals of the College. </subfield>
