Undergraduate thesis.
The rapidly growing field of cosmetic tourism presents a promising opportunity for ParanÌaque City, Philippines. This study investigates the link between a cosmetic clinic{92}s preparation and its ability to attract cosmetic tourists. Researchers contacted clinic staff in ParanÌaque City to assess their level of preparedness, including facility enhancements, staff training, and optimized operations. In this study, a standardized questionnaire was used to survey 65 individuals. Our statistical study includes frequency and percentage, weighted mean, descriptive statistics, and inferential statistics. Clinics with a better level of preparedness, as shown by the availability of resources that meet cosmetic tourism requirements, were more likely to succeed in this burgeoning sector. The findings are noteworthy for ParanÌaque City{92}s goal to position itself as a prominent cosmetic tourism destination in the south. Cosmetic clinics can strengthen their ability to address the special demands of medical tourists seeking cosmetic operations by actively preparing for them. This is ideally aligned with the Department of Tourism{92}s (DOT) national goals, which involve active collaboration with stakeholders in the aesthetics, aging, and wellness sectors to position the Philippines as a leader in cosmetic tourism. The country is home to a large number of qualified healthcare professionals known for their knowledge and dedication. When combined with the distinct Filipino care brand, this creates an enticing combination for overseas patients looking for high-quality medical aesthetics and wellness experiences. In summary, the city of ParanÌaque{92}s endeavors to enhance its cosmetic clinics and guarantee compliance with criteria for cosmetic tourism align with the wider national goals of endorsing healthcare services and drawing in medical tourists. The city has the potential to become a leading destination in the field of cosmetic tourism, greatly boosting its economic growth and development, utilizing its highly qualified professionals and cultivating a culture of patient-centered care, as well as by promoting the specialty clinics available in the city through promotional videos highlighting the clinics that offer cosmetic tourism services.
