Dissertation note: Undergraduate thesis. Summary: This study assesses the factors that affect the compliance of Barangay Micro Enterprises owners in San Dionisio,Paranaque City. Barangay Micro Business Enterprise is the most common business in the Philippines due to its low capital cost. 38.2% of BMBEs in San Dionisio, Paranaque City, are earning less than PHP 10,000. There, the law titled {93} Barangay Micro Business Enterprises Law of 2002{94} was created to aid the BMBE owners by giving them benefits and incentives. Based on the reviewed related literature, most BMBE owners have not yet registered with government agencies or under the law itself. To find out what factors affect the compliance of BMBE owners, the researcher surveyed a total of 89 unregistered businesses located in San Dionisio,Paranaque City. The questionnaire contains the type of business, monthly income, and years of operation for the first part; the factors that the business faces for the second part; and challenges for the third part. The results of the study shows that most BMBE faces difficulty in technological and capital factors. Based on the study{92}s findings, the research created a guideline that assists BMBE owners in registering their business with government agencies, while considering the challenges they often face.
