Dissertation note: Undergraduate Thesis Summary: Students of radiologic technology face a one-of-a-kind set of challenges as they work toward becoming established professionals in medical imaging. Major courses may be completed online, and they are introduced to radiography’s foundational ideas and the technical abilities necessary to work effectively with patients and imaging equipment. This research aims to explore the lived experience of radiologic technology interns on clinical training as part of their professional education during the COVID-19 pandemic and to draw out the resulting implications for future radiologic technology internship programs. There were changes such as infection control, problems in interpersonal communication, limited patient exposure, fear anxiety, and financial difficulties. Students in the field of radiologic technology compromise their well-being for clinical internship training. This experience has improved their job skills and provided them with unique stories to share. These narratives can instruct future students in medical imaging and educational or medical institutions on how to improve the learning process. This qualitative study employed voice-recorded interviews and phenomenological method of Colaizzi for analysis. This study found that personal protective equipment was compensated for at CoVid-19 internships, but masks, gloves, and alcohol were provided by health institutions. The study determined that before internship, COVID-19 vaccinations were required. Layers of PPEs make communication with patients problematic. Furthermore, when it comes to their knowledge, they appear to be minimally prepared, even though they are passionate about their jobs and show care not only for their fellow interns but also for themselves.
