This research examines the competency of fire officers in responding to fire incidents and their role in fire hazards prevention. The study investigates the knowledge, skills, and decision-making abilities of fire officers, focusing on their preparedness, effectiveness in managing emergencies, and proactive measures to mitigate fire risks. Through a method approach, including surveys and gathering data from five departments across in barangay B.F Homes Paranaque City, the study evaluates training programs, operational protocols, and real-time response outcomes. Findings suggest that while fire officers demonstrate strong technical knowledge in fire suppression, there are notable gaps in hazard assessment, risk communication, and preventive strategies. The research emphasizes the need for enhanced training in fire prevention, risk management, and community engagement to improve overall fire safety outcomes. Recommendations are made for refining professional development programs, implementing comprehensive hazard awareness initiatives, and fostering collaboration between fire services and local communities to reduce fire incidents and enhance long-term fire safety.
