Dissertation note: Undergraduate Thesis Summary: Despite the extensive research already conducted in the field of cloud technology, the usage of cloud collaboration tools (CCTs) among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) their effectiveness as a means of dealing with the challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic are a relatively new research area. Thus, this study aimed to determine the usage of CCTs by MSMEs towards developing proposed business operations strategies for adapting to the COVID-19 pandemic. This study covered a representative sample of 30 MSMEs in the City of Parañaque registered in the year 2020. The survey questionnaire used inquired the profile variables of the business, the types of CCTs that they are currently using, as well as their assessments of the costs, data security risks, benefits, and challenges associated with these CCTs. This study revealed that among the four types of CCTs, audio/video conferencing tools were the most used by all MSMEs irrespective of size or nature of operations. In addition, this study found that the lack of personal contact remains to be a top concern for MSMEs despite their usage of CCTs. For the output of this paper, the researcher proposed a nine-step CCT adoption plan based on the findings of this study. Lastly, further research in other regions that would expand on the findings of this study to include other cities with unique business environments is highly recommended.
