520 _aThis study intended to analyze how current discount privileges in Philippine Army be improved towards rationalizing the benefits by determining their needs and concerns. It utilized quantitative descriptive research method using questionnaires among 357 respondents, with 178 commissioned and 179 non-commissioned officers of Philippine Army. Results showed that both the commissioned and non- commissioned officers are slightly enjoying as well as somewhat satisfied with the current discount privileges in PA. Hence, rationalization for these provided discount privileges is highly needed to improve the economic status of the soldiers and to meet their needs. At some point, the limited and sometimes restricted provisions of discount privileges to the few hamper the positive intentions of the benefits. To respond to this, a proposed discount privilege program was initiated for this purpose.
