520 _aThis study assessed the efficiency of the annual physical inventory conducted by the Administrative Division of the Paranaque City Treasurer's Office in compliance with these mandates. Employing a descriptive research approach and correlational design, data were collected through a researcher-made survey questionnaire distributed among employees of the City Treasurer's Office and the Administrative Division. The survey covered the demographic profiles of respondents and evaluated the efficiency of inventory management practices across various resource categories. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics, weighted mean calculation, and t-tests to determine significant differences in perceptions among respondent groups. Findings revealed varying levels of efficiency in managing different resource categories. While certain aspects, such as office supplies and property, plant, and equipment, demonstrated commendable efficiency, challenges were identified, particularly in managing unused accountable forms. These challenges were {93}Very Serious" and highlighted the need for immediate action. Respondents unanimously Supported proposed measures to address these challenges, indicating a collective commitment to enhancing efficiency in inventory management practices. This study underscores the importance of comprehensive demographic representation in evaluating efficiency across diverse resource categories within government agencies. Addressing identified challenges and implementing proposed measures are essential for enhancing efficiency, mitigating risks, and fostering continual improvement in inventory management practices, contributing to the overarching goals of good governance, transparency, and fiscal responsibility within local governance frameworks.
