520 _aThe clinical competency of second-year nursing students is assessed in this study to determine their preparation for real-world healthcare settings and areas for learning improvement. Based on a literature assessment, the research emphasizes clinical competency in nursing education and its impact on patient care. The inquiry was needed to assess how well existing educational practices prepare nursing students for their careers. This quantitative study selected 141 second-year nursing students using simple random sampling to ensure an unbiased population representation and reliable findings. An organized survey collected data on students{92} clinical competence, revealing their strengths and weaknesses. Results show a range of skill levels among participants, indicating the efficacy of various nursing curriculum learning experiences. These findings identify competencies that require focused educational enhancements to better prepare nursing students for clinical problems. The study also links some teaching methodologies to improved clinical abilities, proposing curriculum development. This research contributes to nursing education debate by offering empirical data to improve curricula and teaching methods. This study highlights educational gaps and proposes a competency-based, personalized learning experience that meets clinical practice needs. Beyond academia, these findings can help legislators, educators, and healthcare facilities improve nursing education and patient care.
