520 _aThis study explores the lived experiences of Filipino older adults inside the home for the aged and the way their past and present experiences affect the development of integrity and despair. Given the fact that the majority of the families in the Philippines are truly caring for their aging family members, and are able to continue to socialize in their community as usual, there is this reality of older adults residing in the home for the aged living their lives with limited social interactions and bounded by the facility{92}s rules and regulations. It aims to increase community awareness, to broaden and enhance the understanding of the concept of eldercare facilities. The study used a purposive sampling method to identify the qualified individuals to take part from the whole population. With the use of validated and in-depth interviews, this study engaged with eight (8) Filipino older adults, aged 65 and above, residing in assisted living facilities from Parañaque, Las Piñas, and Muntinlupa City. The research found out the following themes emerged after analyzing the answers of the participants and resulted in the following: (a) Simulating Experience of Way-Back-Home, (b) Internalization and Externalization of Self-Awareness, (c) Integration of Psychosocial Values, and (d) Art of Reflection, in which encompasses the shared stories of experiences coming from the participants. In conclusion, the researchers' examination of new ideas introduced the concept of directional reflection, highlighting the importance of upward contemplation, downward introspection, backward retrospection, and forward prospection. in fostering self-awareness and personal development. From the transcribed narratives and stories of the residents, they develop a sense of self-awareness and integrate psychosocial values by means of the art of reflection - the ultimate factor of developing a person's integrity. Recommendations focus on providing opportunities for meaningful activities, social interactions, and personal reflection to improve well-being and fulfillment.
