520 _aIn recent years, social media platforms have become vital tools for educational innovation, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic when traditional learning environments were disrupted. TikTok, a platform with over 1.1 billion active users, has emerged as a popular medium for sharing educational content, including English Language instruction. This study explores the correlation between TikTok as a medium of instruction and language acquisition among first to fourth year Education students at Olivarez College, focusing on phonology, morphology, and syntax. TikTok, with over 1.1 billion active users, gained popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic and has been used by English teachers to share educational content. Employing a quantitative correlational design, the research involved 94 Education students selected through purposive sampling, who completed a 4-point Likert scale questionnaire. Data analysis, validated by a statistician, revealed that the majority of respondents were female (74.5%) and third-year students (41.5%). Mean proficiency scores in phonology, morphology, and syntax were 3.14, 3.05, and 2.92, respectively, with Bachelor of Elementary Education students showing the highest proficiency. Pearson correlation analysis indicated a strong positive correlation (r=0.7955) between TikTok usage and language acquisition, suggesting that TikTok is an effective tool for language acquisition, particularly in phonology and morphology, through further research is needed to explore additional influencing factors and causative relationships.
