Using the process of qualitative research design in the form of phenomenological inquiry by Monstakas (1994) in Creswell (2009), the described lived experiences were transcribed and interpreted to draw reflections, themes and implications to depict essences, values and meaning. Upon treating the qualitative data, it derived the following insights and reflections as it depicted co- researchers' description of their experiences. Forever a teacher: To live and die and for another lifetime. Mr. Ronald describes his retirement experiences as a life sustaining and continuing passion for teaching that not even retirement can separate him from it. The pleasure of teaching; the joy of serving; the ministry of giving. Retirement left significant essence to Mrs. Adalia's life by focusing more on serving others, and giving what she has to her brethren as she considers her ministry and a worthy advocacy. This gives her pleasure not with standing that she's done with her full-length teaching career. And for her, God replaces it with happy and bonded family, good health and best opportunity to travel places that she has ever wanted to visit. Thus, her gift in return is more than enough with what she is giving in. From public to private institution: Passion in continuum; teaching lives on. Mrs. Cita's experience depicts a great metamorphosis as she adapts herself to a new school context. Being used to working in a public setting has never hindered her to pursue her whim to serve despite in a much different learning environment - a small private school. | ||
