The Fire Department, a branch of service in the police and law enforcement area of responsibility is one public office that has been the subject of unkind, if not harsh criticisms whenever there is a fire calamity. Fire fighters are grossly misunderstood. Accusations against them are based mostly on myths and misconceptions, although some are true, but certainly not all criticisms are credible.
