This further evoked into the possible link of the administrators' competencies into the performance of their duties and responsibilities. To attain the stated aim, specific questions below were answered: 1. What are the duties and responsibilities of secondary school administrators performed? 2. What is the level of each management competency of secondary school administrators described in terms of their duties and responsibilities among: 1. Leadership b. Interpersonal relations c. Communications d. Supervisions e. Ability to realize commitment to school mission f. Decision-making g. Ability to persuade h. Exercise of management control i. Motivation ability j. Organizational ability k. Ability to delegate, and 1. Written communication 3. How do the competencies of the secondary school administrators relate to the performance of their duties and responsibilities? Hypothesis The management competencies of secondary school principal have no significant relationship to the performance of their duties and responsibilities. Methodology Design of the Study This study employed a correlational design with the self-structured questionnaire as the main instrument in collecting the needed data. The data were treated statistically to determine the respondents' performance of duties and responsibilities competency and management competencies related to the performance of duties and responsibilities. The respondents of the study were the administrators of the selected public high school in Muntinglupa school division. These administrators composed of the principals, head teachers, officer-in-charge and department heads that have occupied their position for one year and more. To cross validate the responses of the administrators on the questionnaire, teachers were also given the same set of questionnaire. The teacher respondents were the secondary school teachers in selected public secondary schools in Muntinglupa school division only those who had already rendered one year and more of teaching service were considered.
