520 _aWhile there can be positive outcomes in playing virtual games, this study is solely focused on understanding the upside of mobile gaming and identifying behaviors displayed by players inside the game and how it affects a player's well-being be it physical, mental, emotional, or social. The number of hours gamers spend playing daily basis can be the gauge for identifying signs of gaming addiction. The World Health Organization (WHO, 2018) included gaming disorder in the 11th draft of the International Code of Diseases (ICD-11). It is defined as a pattern of gaming behavior characterized by impaired control over gaming and giving priority to gaming other than other activities, and disregarding the negative consequences it may bring. Respondents were gathered to gain insight on what drives players' towards the game, and how it affected their lives. Conflicts in their personal life rise due to excessive hours they spent playing. Physically, sleep deprivation is common. Socially, their relationship/s have been compromised. Performance within the workplace or at school began to fluctuate due to their inability to focus. Irritability, anger, and resentment are presented whenever they are distracted from the game especially when their loss is inevitable. Trash talking, blaming, and profanity are deemed normal among these players.
