520 _aEducation sectors currently face a significant challenges due to the pandemic crisis. It gave birth to the "new normal" in education with new learning modalities which added another challenges for the teachers and the students during this tough time. This qualitative case study explored the experiences of the key players in continuous implementation of Special Program in the Arts in an integrated senior high school during the new normal brought by Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) crisis. The results showed that new normal was hard; there was preference for face to face class; new normal was heavily laden with the use of technology; use of the ICT had a major benefit toward the transition of learning and teaching in the new normal; there was a consistency in implementing performance based approach, integration, and collaboration in teaching and learning; student's lack of motivation, lack of learning materials, and limited internet connectivity posed logistical issues to move to online learning; there was utilization of technology related strategies to equip in the learning modality; personal qualities such as positive attitudes towards the adaptation of new modes of learning was recognized, available learning materials and other resources strategies utilized, and community support to cope with the transition from traditional class to the "new normal" was considered. As a consequence, adjustments were evident in the capability building which can engage educators and students to meet the demand for new normal. The participants of the study were also confident that something fabulous will happen in the future of Special Program in the Arts like more achievements and recognitions. Drawing lessons from this case study, future alignment of learning materials and assessment of learning; and the proper allocation of resources to support the new learning modality could be useful to improvement of the implementation of the SPA curriculum in new normal to ensure the quality of continuous progress of teaching and learning process.
