Dissertation note: Master Thesis Summary: This study aimed to develop instructional material in Science 3 for a new normal flexible learning modality. In order to ensure validity, the said I.M. was subjected to validation by expert evaluators, teachers, home facilitators, and learners using a set of criteria as indicated in the validation tool. The researcher utilized an A.D.D.I.E. model approach to this study to pitch in on developing a Home-based enhanced learning module in Science 3. The researcher crafted a proposed contextualized learning material based on the needs analysis during Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to suit the needs of the Grade 3 learners. According to the participants, most home facilitators struggled to teach their children since most of them could not teach. Hence, most learners with struggling home facilitators also have learning difficulties. The respondents also state that the insufficient explanation and minimal examples in the learning materials they are using are the struggles in handling an MDL program. The proposed I.M. was anchored to the IDEA approach, also utilized in the existing module. The Enhanced Learning Material in Science 3 may help increase learners' understanding of the lesson. It will benefit learners, teachers, and home facilitators in the delivery of instruction with the hopes that all learning gaps will be addressed and be more attractive to all learners as they utilize the enhanced learning materials. The proposed I.M. was valid as it obtained a Very Satisfactory (VS) in all evaluated aspects (content; format; presentation and organization; and accuracy and up-to-datedness of information). The proposed I.M. could be a good reference material for Science 3. However, it is recommended that the proposed I.M. undergo a continuous evaluation to identify other portions that may be strengthened.
