Dissertation note: Master Thesis Summary: This study attempted to develop and validate a proposed unified test in Araling Panlipunan for Grade 7 through online assessment modality. The development research design was employed in this study that specifically entailed the development and validation of a unified test. Item analysis was employed by computing test results of the two groups (upper limit and lower limit) to detemine item difficulty and discrimination indices. The said proposed test was validated among randomly selected 75 Grade 8 students at Sampaguita Village National High School, Division of San Pedro, Laguna who had completed the competencies and lessons intended for the subject that was covered in the test. Findings revealed that the prescribed DepEd's content and competencies for Araling Panlipunan for Grade 7 was considered. In response to the demands of time and address 21st century learners, the said assessment tool was devised through online modality. Hence, it was recommended that the proposed test be regularly reviewed and re- assessed to ensure updated, contextualized and developmentally appropriate learning assessment tool responsive to students' need. More so, the table of specifications should be equally revisited making it in consonance with the K to 12 innovational reforms and institutional goals. As such, another item analysis procedure be conducted among other batches of examinees and thereby, compare the results to ensure its concrete reliability. Thus, the proposed unified test be considered and utilized by Araling Panlipunan 7 teachers in different schools and divisions to determine consistency and reliability of such.
