Dissertation note: Master Thesis Summary: The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship between the National Elementary Assessment Test (NEAT) results and the Scholastic Achievement level of the grade six pupils of Puerto Princesa Pilot elementary School for the school year 1998-1999. Through this study the researcher sought to answer the following questions; 1. What is level of performance of the pupil respondents in the four subject areas in the NEAT? 2. What is the scholastic achievement of grade six pupils in the core subject areas in the Curriculum? 3. Is there a significant relationship between the pupils level of performance in the NEAT and their scholastic achievement in the following subject areas? a. English b. Math C. Science d. HeKaSi. 4. Is there a significant difference in the pupils NEAT rating and scholastic achievement.
