Master Thesis
This study aimed to identify the effect of behavioral problems on the academic performance of High School Students of Pasay City North High School as perceived by the teachers. This study was conducted during the school year 2000 2001. More specifically, this study sought answers to the following subproblems. 1. What are the common behavioral problems exhibited by high schools students as perceived by the teacher? 2. What are the levels of manifestation of the behavior problems exhibited by high school students as perceived by the teachers? 3. What are the profiles in academic performance of high school students in relation to behavioral problems. 4. Is there a significant relationship in the academic performance of the high school students in terms of: a. Conduct Problems; b. Personality Problems; and c. Academic Problems Method: The researcher made use of the Descriptive Normative Survey Method, Documentary Analysis and Informal Interview to gather the needed data of this study. The subject of this study were 272 high school students of Pasay City North High School and 88 teachers. The statistical tools used were the weighted mean and the chi-square test of independence.
