The Department of Education issued DepEd Order No. 36 s. 2014 stating that teachers shall involve in different activities in school and assume different roles and responsibilities, both the teaching and non- teaching or ancillary services, such as being a guidance teacher, teacher librarian, property custodian, teacher nurse and coordinator as special assignment. This study attempted to determine the impact of ancillary services on the teaching performance of teachers in public schools and their students' learning outcome towards appropriate intervention mechanism. The study used quantitative descriptive correlation method using survey questionnaire and available grades of students and the IPCRF ratings of teachers in the S.Y. 2017-2018 among 150 public school teachers, of which 100 were elementary and 50 secondary in Tagaytay City. Frequency, percentage, rank, mean and Pearson r Correlation Coefficient were used to test statistically the hypothesis. The study showed high extent of involvement in ancillary services among teachers, although they still performed very satisfactorily in teaching, however their students obtained just average academic performance. There was no established significant relationship among the ancillary involvement, performance and students' learning outcome among elementary and secondary school teachers. As such, ancillary service occupies the time of teachers for teaching preparation, meeting deadlines for requirement, and other related-teaching tasks. And to address these concerns, guidelines and supporting tools were proposed.
