Dissertation note: Master Thesis Summary: The quest for quality education is the mission as well as the vision of every educational institution. This is especially true with private schools in as much as their attracting powers depend upon the quality of their educational output. Thus, the schools which are famous for their quality attract more students than the so called "diploma mills." Anyone who is in touch with reality during the past years does not need to be reminded of the deterioration of the quality of education in our educational system. The social forces, which have long challenged our educational system, have started new dimensions. These forces are asking serious questions regarding the relevance of educational institutions and programs to the demands of Studies have been undertaken to assess the quality of Philippine education. One important body that undertook such study was the Educational Congressional Commission. (periodicals:1) It reported that "the quality of Philippine education is declining continuously. As a mechanism to improve education it was recommended that schools be made effective and curricular programs more relevant to the communities they serve.
